How to store bread

The post about storing our bread should have been one of the first ones. But we decided to test our bread more to figure out what the best way is for its storage. Now each our bag of bread includes a small card with tips.

Here they are:

  • Cut the loaf in the very middle into 2 halves and then tightly connect the two pieces back together.

  • Don’t store Living Rye Bread in a refrigerator, keep it at a room temperature in a plastic bag. The best is in a cotton/linen sack or in a bread box.

  • If you aren’t going to eat bread for two or more days, put it in a freezer. When you are ready to eat, let bread thaw at a room temperature.

  • Don’t store bread with different flavors in a one bag.
